What is the Internship Programme?

The internship programme is a process through which interested applicants may complete a period of practical, professional experience at the Consulate General of Afghanistan in Bonn. The programme is offered to university students (mandatory and voluntary internships), recent graduates, and other persons seeking work experience in a diplomatic mission.

Who can apply?

Applicants from any country who are legally allowed to undertake an internship in Germany. This includes German and EU citizens, international students with a valid residence title that permits internships, and other persons with appropriate residence status. We particularly welcome applicants living in the Bonn / Cologne area, fluent in German plus at least one of: Dari, Pashto, English.
